Not exactly a franchise altering mistake, but good for Philly and their process.

Seeing Jackson in bold hurts my eyes. We have a 7-deep team with our injuries.

RE: 2019-20 Mavs News - Hypermav - 07-02-2020

I was thinking about that rotation.  Let's say Curry gets Covid the day before the 1st round series starts.  Is a player brought in?  Based on what I can tell, the league would let you pull from a set list of players but they would have to be quarantined as well.  Curry in theory would be eligible as fast as a replacement player.  Not counting the "normal" injuries, a team could be stripped down to Hawks bad in no time.  Mavs need some luck...

If LeChina gets Covid and it is clear the Lakers won't make it to the championship, I expect him to change his tune and want to shut it all down.

My glass must be half full today lol.

The bubble rulebook is 113 pages long, surely there is a family replacement clause in there somewhere. Does Seth have any family members that are good at basketball? Confused

Mavs playing Lakers, Indy and Philly. Will these games be televised?

Luka with 12 MVP awards and 8 championships...I could live with this scenario.

"Mark fell ass backward into Doncic," the executive says. "But he's really comfortable with international players. He traded for [Kristaps] Porzingis. It has got him re-engaged. He's making calls to build the roster again."

  1. 14. Tim Hardaway Jr., Dallas MavericksThe 2019-20 season may be the best of Tim Hardaway Jr.'s career. He's posting career highs in threes per possession, three-point percentage, true shooting percentage and win shares per 48 minutes. The Dallas Mavericks have been plus-12.7 points per 100 possessions (98th percentile) when Hardaway is on the floor with Luka Doncic and plus-5.0 when Luka is on the floor without Hardaway.Hardaway isn't the only reason for that difference, but an elite floor-spacer, which is exactly what his 40.7 three-point percentage says he is this season, is what Dallas should surround Luka with. All year, when Luka has kicked it out or around the perimeter, Hardaway has been keyed in and ready to cast off. He's fifth in total catch-and-shoot points and has a 63.7 effective field-goal percentage on those shots.

I had high hopes for him over the summer but I'll admit I lost some confidence after those first few weeks of the season.
So glad being in the starting lineup turned it around for him.
And looking at that list I think he should be #11 after Lavine. Hopefully he can keep it up if he stays around a few more seasons.

I think ranking is fair. Fournier and Hield are better offensively, Smart is one of the best defenders in the league. One thing that is underestimated when just looking at three point percentage - Hardaway has a quick and high release, so he needs very little space to shoot it.

RE: 2019-20 Mavs News - DanSchwartzgan - 07-08-2020

If you go to the "What We Have" thread, my ranking had him 14th also (and 47th across the entire NBA).  As a reminder, here is what I wrote about the methodology used:

"There is no single stat that perfectly summarizes player value.  So, I put three compilation stats together to form a compilation of the compilations.  I wanted to see where players rank league-wide.   I decided to use RPM, the Simple Rating from 82games.com and 538.com's RAPTOR.  Combining three imperfect numbers probably isn't great methodology, but it probably beats relying on any one of them.  The thing I like about all three of these is they attempt to combine productivity with on-court impact."

The have already done their PG ranking (link below).  Spoiler alert...they like that Doncic guy.
