It's so weird. Clearly, the Lakers are going to draft him. OK.

But where does it end? Will LeBron be pissed if his son spends too much time in the G league? Does he expect the kid to PLAY? Is he planning to hang in the league long enough to get his kid a second contract?

Nah he wasn't. He was a bench guy even in college. Too small and can't handle the ball well enough.

I think Veccine said the only freshman with his measurements and defensive reputation that got picked in the first round were Tony Allen and Avery Bradley. Nobody will pick a small guy that has proven absolutely nothing, especially when he has suffered a cardiac arrest already.

Ah screw them. A Swede in Miami, he´ll only get sunburned.

RE: 2024 NBA Draft - Mavs2021 - 06-27-2024

I heard Alex Ajinca has said if anybody takes his nephew Melvin before Dallas, he´ll play in Iceland next year.

Same stuff each year. Takes 10-15 minutes and all board favorites are gone.

RE: 2024 NBA Draft - omahen - 06-27-2024

An interesting bit, while waiting for the last pick. If I am not mistaken, every second round pick in this draft has been traded at least once - no pick was made by the original owner of the pick. Orlando pick that was traded to NO was last one standing. Miami swapped their pick with Atlanta just a couple of minutes before that.

He had his cardiac arrest BEFORE his freshman season at USC. You’re just talking outta your ass dude.

RE: 2024 NBA Draft - LukaMVP - 06-27-2024

there ain't many good talents in this year's pool, to begin with. if some of our prospects join the league this year hypothetically, hardy would've climbed to the top half of first round, omax would've been a lottery lock, while lively would've been a candidate for no.1 pick (if not guaranteed for it).

I like the moves by Denver. Brown, Jackson, probably lose KCP in FA. Maybe trade Murray next and Jokic is on his way to Dallas.

Yeah... Murray is signing a 200 mil extension with Denver...

RE: 2024 NBA Draft - HoosierDaddyKid - 06-27-2024

Tristen Newton (UConn) was a good pick for the Pacers.

RE: 2024 NBA Draft - SleepingHero - 06-27-2024

Following the pattern, NYK is probably trading this pick for 15 highly protected 2nds.

The scouting reports are everywhere. He is a 6'3" combo guard. (That's with shoes on. He is actually reported at 6'1.5 barefoot) He's a 6'3 3&D player. Decent court vision and willing passer. Yeah he had a cardiac arrest but that's not going to change what he is.

His best outlook is an Avery Bradley starter kit. I think he would have played better during his freshman year in college but he got started late due to the health scare. I just don't see much room for a guy that small that isn't dominant at something. That's exactly what the scouting reports knock him for.

If he was a dominant shooter, dominant defender, dominant at something, etc it would be a totally different story.
