Heat are considered contenders and we're not. Ok, we just need to get KP back and firing on most cylinders and we get in that conversation too? Prob not.

Just a case of the East being the East really. The Bucks have a great record, but I still have my doubts in them. Maybe I shouldn't with how well they played with Giannis out, but it does feel more like a One-star, deep team built for the regular season.

That is such a cool chart!  I love data.  This guy really worked out a good easy to read one.

I am not a member of Twitter but I read it, and post it.  Not sure how this guy formatted it using Twitter but he came up with a cool 10 day yet seasonal win/loss chart.  Easy to read and I like checking it during season.

OKC was
4-6
4-6
7-3
8-2

Man Mavs 3 point shooting is really good. You have several guys in upper 30s including DFS, Maxi (40?), and THJ. Wright and Curry as well. On small sample sizes you have Broekhoff and JJB havr high percentages.

Luka does not have a great percent but he also takes a lot of bad shots. I think you live with a lower percent knowing he is using his 3 to keep the defense guessing. KP has been steadily improving. I would expect him to eventually get to upper 30s. Maybe not this season but at some point. He and Luka are both good shooters but the 3% will not always reflect.

Lowe talking about Powell and Kleber and then compares to Drummond.  Which is my feeling about Drummond, no bueno for his salary demands vs what we already have.

RoCo or bust.  Smile

This is my favorite part of the article:

Powell has always been a dangerous rim-runner, but he has exploded as Luka Doncic's go-to pick-and-roll dance partner. Only three player pairs have teamed up on that play more often. (For trivia purposes, the top three in volume: Spencer Dinwiddie/Jarrett Allen, Damian Lillard/Hassan Whiteside, and the Lou Williams/Montrezl Harrell symphony.)

The Mavs average a ginormous 1.18 points per possession anytime Doncic or Powell shoots out of the pick-and-roll, or passes to a teammate who launches -- ninth-best among 226 duos who have run at least 100 such plays, per Second Spectrum.

Powell has improved as a passer on the move -- crucial when teams trap Doncic

"Dallas is starting Kleber and Powell in the absence of Porzingis, and the Mavs have outscored opponents by 13 points per 100 possessions with both on the floor.

Kleber and Powell earn $18 million combined this season -- $9 million less than Drummond. Drummond holds a much-discussed player option for 2020-21. Kleber and Powell are under contract through 2023. Leaving aside money and whatever assets Detroit might demand, it's unclear whether giving Kleber/Powell minutes to Drummond would even make Dallas any better."

While I understand his being butthurt at the Mavs' Howard pursuit, if he would have been a little more patient, he probably could have stayed a Mav at a similar contract. Not a good look for Mark, but the divorce was nearly as much on Ty.

Here we go with another re-hashed Chandler debate. I don’t agree that it was nearly as much on Ty. There is an amount of blame to be put on him as he is now saying he should have retired a Mav, but the blame is 80/20 on the Mavs FO.

I would have been perfectly fine riding Jet and Chandler into the ground along side Dirk for the rest of their careers
Probably wouldn't have had another deep playoff run but at least that would have been an easy team to love.
Was really hard to care for a few years there
