RE: 2021 FREE AGENCY: JC and ATL have "no momentum" - dirkfansince1998 - 08-02-2021 (08-02-2021, 07:09 PM)Jommybone Wrote: What??? Lakers are getting leftovers nobody wants! The Mavs added players on a similar level (supposed franchise saviors) and paid more. Lakers added Howard (still a valuable backup/spot starter big). Ellington (similar or better shooter than Brown/Bullock). Ariza (proven 3&D wing). As I predicted James Johnson love fest all over again. The Mavs failed to add a single player that would make their top 5 rotation but if you guys are happy with them you do not deserve anything better. Happy first round exit. Maybe Luka can even carry them to the 2nd round. Why the hyperbole? https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1422350645449920516 HUGE loss for the Lakers there. Caruso was a big part of their bench. Why the hyperbole? Sarcasm. Post that I quoted called the Lakers signings leftovers. RE: 2021 FREE AGENCY: JC and ATL have "no momentum" - SleepingHero - 08-02-2021 Can we talk about how the Lakers lost one of their best bench pieces in Caruso? AND he went east. RE: 2021 FREE AGENCY: JC and ATL have "no momentum" - cjeter24 - 08-02-2021 Money has dried up fast. I could see Mavs getting Oubre or Holmes in a SNT with their TPE at this point. I find it admirable that you're still on the THT train. I seriously cannot see what you see in him. I guess SA will throw a max offer to Collins. I doubt OKC would go for any of them RE: 2021 FREE AGENCY: JC and ATL have "no momentum" - Fuerza1 - 08-02-2021 (08-02-2021, 07:20 PM)cjeter24 Wrote: Money has dried up fast. Oh Oubre would be a big get, make it happen Nico!!! #Upside RE: 2021 FREE AGENCY: JC and ATL have "no momentum" - SleepingHero - 08-02-2021 (08-02-2021, 07:20 PM)cjeter24 Wrote: Money has dried up fast. We paid our 6th man 18m per year. RE: 2021 FREE AGENCY: JC and ATL have "no momentum" - dirkfansince1998 - 08-02-2021 (08-02-2021, 07:17 PM)cow Wrote: We can't be done. Do you think any combination of Powell, WCS, Burke, Moses Brown (maybe even Brunson, Kleber) and picks is enough to get a legit starter and upgrades the roster. Dragic is okay but he wasn´t a high minutes player for the Heat in the regular season. Mavs cannot afford to load manage if they want to avoid the best teams in the west. RE: 2021 FREE AGENCY: JC and ATL have "no momentum" - Smitty - 08-02-2021 Bullock kind of replaces DFS (who is likely to get paid $$ after next year). Brunson (who is likely to get paid $$ after next year). Trade KP along with DFS and Brunson for Dragic and Siakam?? RE: 2021 FREE AGENCY: JC and ATL have "no momentum" - SamStetz - 08-02-2021 Cap question: if, as we assume, Dallas operates over the cap and signs THJ for a number less than his cap hold, what happens to the other space? Example: If we used cap space we’d have about 30M before THJ but no full MLE or TPE, so if we kept the 28M cap hold on Timmy to operate over the cap and sign him for 16, what happens to the other 14M? Hope that makes sense...have to type quickly RE: 2021 FREE AGENCY: JC and ATL have "no momentum" - hakeemfaan - 08-02-2021 (08-02-2021, 07:19 PM)cow Wrote: As long as we can talk about how we should have maxed there other best bench player in THT. I like THT too but the Mavs new HC who saw him up close than any of us probably played a major role in not going after him. I'm mostly with you in sentiment but it is unconscionable that we are done and would be as big of a free agency period failure as any in recent history. |
